Konstantin Grouss is an artist whose practice has unfolded for more than twenty years through choreography, performance, video, kinetic sculpture, curatorial work, and material processes. The forms changed. The inquiry remained.

His early work explored the emergence of form through the body, movement, space, and relationship. The current practice continues it through organic materials and images.

Extended Moment begins with temporary compositions of flowers, leaves, stones and seeds, assembled by hand and photographed once before they disappear. The image is then built over months in a digital state, layer by layer, surface by surface, colour by colour. Only when it is ready is it returned to matter: silk applied to wood by his own technique, or UV print on aluminium and wood. Each work is completed by hand, with a crystal found for it and fixed in the single place on the surface where it belongs. Each work is singular. There are no editions.

He calls this method Baliku. He lives and works in Ubud, Bali, where Extended Moment, Baliku and Artist as Steward develop as interconnected fields of one practice.
