Konstantin Grouss

Artist | Based in Bali

Konstantin Grouss is an artist whose practice has unfolded for more than twenty years through choreography, performance, video, sculpture, curatorial work, and material processes.

Across these changing forms, the central inquiry has remained.

His early work explored the emergence of form through the body, movement, space, and relationships. The current practice continues this inquiry through organic materials and images.

Developed in Bali, Extended Moment series begins with temporary arrangements of flowers, leaves, stones, and crystals. These configurations pass through photography, digital intervention, and material translation before being realised on aluminium, wood, or silk. The original arrangement disappears; the image assumes another state.

This process is part of Bali Ku, an artistic method concerned with duration, transformation, and the movement of form across different conditions.

Grouss is based in Ubud, Bali, where he continues to develop Extended Moment, Bali Ku, and Artist as Steward as interconnected fields of one practice.
